Tom Yam soup is the most well-known Thai dish. Usually served as a soup, with shrimp or chicken and mushrooms, the hot and sour dish is a symbol of Thai cuisine. This aromatic paste can also be used as a sauce when steaming, and makes an exotic marinade for grilling and BBQ.
Cooking Instruction:
Tom Yam Paste 1 packet
Prawns 300g
Straw Mushroom 100g
Water 400ml
Lemongrass 1 stalk
Kaffir Lime Leaves and Galangal 3 pieces
Add Tom Yam Paste, water, lemongrass and galangal in a pot. Simmer for 5 minutes. Then add in prawns, mushroom and kaffir lime leaves. Simmer until cooked. Garnish with coriander and serve.
Cooking tips: Add some fresh lime juice for a refreshing flavour. For a richer flavour, add some coconut milk.
