Laksa is a popular noodle soup from Peranakan culture, which is a merger of Chinese and Malay elements, found in Singapore and Malaysia. Our version of the local favourite makes an aromatic and spicy broth. The paste also makes a wonderful dish when cooked with vegetables.
Cooking Instruction:
Dancing Chef Laksa Paste 1 packet
Water 450ml
Coconut Milk 200ml
Thick Rice Vermicelli 400g
Bean Sprout 50g
Prawns 200g
Fish Cake 200g
Tau Pok (deep fried bean curd) 100g
Laksa leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp
Add Laksa Paste and water in a pot, bring to boil. Then put in prawns, fish cake, tau pok and coconut milk, simmer till cooked. Separately, cook rice vermicelli and bean sprout in boiling water. To serve, place cooked rice vermicelli and bean sprout in a bowl, add prawns, fish cake and tau pok, garnish with laksa leaf, ladle hot laksa gravy into the bowl and serve.
